Engineered Wood Flooring

These are the artificial types of flooring manufactured with a mixture of natural wood and unnatural raw materials.

Engineered hardwood is also referred to as mass timber, composite wood, artificial wood, man-made wood


The technology of manufacture uses a range of wood products bonded together under heat and pressure.


Basically, the raw materials include hardwood components, particles, fibres, veneers or boards and adhesives. These are fused together in 3 – 5 layers of materials.

Artificial wood floors are common and there is no significant difference between them and the natural wooden floor.

Non-Wood Flooring - Overview


Non-wood-based flooring:

This category includes other flooring types that do not contain wooden materials. They could be designed and produced to look very much like wood.

This is called wood-effect, and that quality improve their attractiveness as flooring materials

They're generally made from porcelain, ceramic or completely synthetic or similar materials.
